How a choice becomes a scene
Under each clip are two or three choices, plus a field to write your own. Pick one and the scriptwriter reads the whole story so far, the frame you are looking at, and the state of the world, then writes a fifteen-second scene for exactly that choice. It is filmed, starting on the frame you left, and plays within a minute.
If someone chose the same path before you, it plays instantly. The tree remembers every path ever taken.
Write your own path
The listed choices are not the only ones. Type what you want the protagonist to do and the scriptwriter turns it into a playable choice that fits the world. It will bring in a character who is not in frame, travel to another place, let time pass. The only things it refuses are real, identifiable people and anyone under eighteen.
The story map
Every drama has a map of every path anyone has taken. You can see where the story forks, which branches are busy, which endings exist, and jump to any scene. Or pick a branch and watch it as one film.
